Are you willing to serve the one thing that you are passionate about? Are you willing to suffer for it? The first century church lived to serve the kingdom of God, was willing to suffer for the kingdom and also sacrificed their lives for His kingdom. In Philippians 2:19-30, Paul sought to ease the anxiety of the Philippians because he couldn’t be with him and helps us to see the importance of reproducing disciples for the kingdom. Through Epaphroditus and Timothy, Paul provided the Philippians and us with a model for service and a model for suffering.
